We are delighted and proud to invite you to our sixth international week in Ghent.

How can we stimulate children to play together? How can we actively involve parents as partners in ECEC? What effect does a local network of partners have on young children? How can we stimulate ECEC-professionals to learn from one another? How can we bring a community together through ECEC?

‘Collaboration and connection’ is the theme of our sixth international week. It “connects” different participants regardless of the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) policy in their country (split or integrated system, connected to welfare or education, …) and was chosen by the participants of last year’s edition as a central challenge for bachelor programmes concerning ECEC.

Based on past year’s feedback, we’ll start together on Monday with an introduction and an inspiring keynote. In the introduction we‘ll get to know each other and our institutions, so we hope to start with all participants present. We are excited to invite you to an international learning event organized by our department on Thursday. We’ll finish the week by visiting inspiring ECEC-settings in Ghent.

Let’s connect in Ghent!
